The Black Horse - Stansted

Welcome to The Black Horse in Stansted, Kent.

The Black Horse has recently been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and has become a wonderful country pub offering a warm welcome with great food and drink.

As new owners we are thrilled with the refurbishment. We have a comfortable bar which has a welcoming log fire and is a great place to meet family and friends for a drink, a meal or preferably both.

We are well known for our restaurant, where we serve beautiful home cooked dishes. The restaurant provides some good old fashioned pub classics, such as homemade beef burger blended with herbs and spices and topped with mozzarella cheese served with chunky chips. We also offer more modern dishes, such as Cajun salmon served with new potatoes and lemon and basil aioli.

We pride ourselves on our well kept ales and are currently offering Young’s and locally sourced Larkin’s, as well as regular guest ales.

In the warmer weather the large pub garden comes into its own. With a children’s play area and lots of room for the kids to run around, while Mum and Dad enjoy the sun setting, with a large glass each of our delicious wine!

Stansted is a beautiful village located near Wrotham in Kent. It is close to the M20 motorway and also the A20 that goes through West Kingsdown and Brands Hatch race circuit.

The Black Horse is situated near to the Church as well as the village green and the name Stansted means “stony place”. Our locals will appreciate this as whenever you need to dig in this area, you find lots of flint buried in the ground. You can always go for a stroll after your meal and see what our picturesque village has to offer.
